GET TO KNOW YOUR FELLOW ROTARIAN - KATIE BRADFORD
Name: My name is Katie Bradford and I’ve been married to Gordon for 33 years.
Job: I retired from a solar manufacturer and worked in Supply Chain Management with a dental manufacturer and automotive suppliers in the Detroit area.
Hobbies: I enjoy traveling (taking road trips), reading fiction, being outdoors and visiting with my kids.
Family: We have a son and step son in Michigan and a daughter in Germany with a 12 year old grandson and another due in March.
We are planning a couple trips to Germany next year and an RV trip to Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies. We have a few more trips on our bucket list and plan to do one a year in the future.
Thirty four years ago leaving my cousins wedding my husband proposed to me directly under a double rainbow. I’ve seen them often during troubled times.
My favorite saying is “Footprints in the Sand: The times you have seen only one set of footprints is when I carried you.”
I love listening to live music, especially Irish.  My pet peeve is listening to someone who didn’t vote whine and complain.

GET TO KNOW YOUR FELLOW ROTARIAN - JUDY FRAZIER
Name: Judy Frazier
Married: to Bill
Job: Retired critical care nurse, manager, have worked in all nursing departments over the years Graduated high school with three prime art scholarships, chose to go into nursing to my mother's dismay, couldn't see myself making Easter cards for the rest of my life, have never regretted it as nursing can be difficult and heartwarming.
Hobby:--took up art finally after I retired, going to classes every Wednesday, have won awards for my work, have art hanging in a couple of local establishments. It is an exciting new adventure forme. My mother would be proud.
Family: I have one son, retired from the US Navy Air, a wonderful daughter in law and one grandson.
Interesting Fact: I joined Rotary years ago to pacify one of the local physicians who constantly pestered me to join, and served as the club secretary for 5 years. No one jumped up and begged for the position each time it was open so I retained it. I have enjoyed many of the activities and meeting people but the most appealing retention is the good folks I have met in the club. I consider them all close friends and family. Can't beat em.
Favorite quote: changes, but lately it has to be.....Hope for the best, cope with the rest.
One of my favorite things is the sunsets from my front porch.

FUN FACT
Who discovered the molecules of water?

Water's composition (two parts hydrogen to one part oxygen) was discovered by the London scientist Henry Cavendish (1731-1810) in about 1781. He reported his findings in terms of phlogiston (later the gas he made was proven to be hydrogen) and dephlogisticated air (later this was proven to be oxygen).
When did masquerade balls begin?

Masquerade balls were extended into costumed public festivities in Italy during the 16th century Renaissance (Italian, maschera). They were generally elaborate dances held for members of the upper classes, and were particularly popular in Venice. They have been associated with the tradition of the Venetian Carnival.

Who invented the seat belt?

Volvo built their reputation on selling safer cars, but they gave away the most important safety device ever invented: the three-point seat belt. UK autos website Arnold Clark took a look back at what is now the universal modern seat belt, created by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959.
